When you eat off the plan, snap a photo of your plate or scan the barcode.

How calories by photo works

Built around your life.

Do you work shifts, do you live in a dorm, do you have access to a kitchen? These are asked too, and turned into a day-by-day prep-time limit. If you have a desk job, you won't get a forty-minute oven recipe on a weekday.

You don't have to give up the food you know: meals come from the cuisine you choose. The diet style, allergens and dislikes you flag are left out when the plan is built.

  • Levantine / Turkish
  • Mediterranean
  • Western
  • Asian
  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Pescatarian
  • Gluten-free
  • Lactose-free
  • 7 allergens

Is it right for you?

Whatever your goal, the plan is built around it; portions and macros are derived from your daily target.

Plans for your goal

Lose weight

A measured deficit; without going hungry, without dropping below the safe floor.

Maintain weight

Balanced meals that match your daily requirement.

Build muscle

A protein-heavy plan; the protein grams in each meal are written out.

Gain weight

A calorie surplus, from regular meals rather than empty calories.

Get past the drop-off point.

Quitting tracking is easy. YiYo does two things that make it harder.

The analysis arrives on its own

Finish the week and your analysis is ready; every four weeks, a monthly summary too.

You set the reminders

Meal, water and activity reminders. Which ones are on and at what time: you choose, and you turn off the ones you don't want.

Analysis and reminders

Your calorie target doesn't come from an AI.

It is calculated on the server with published formulas. The AI only picks meals that fit that target, and what it picks is checked again.

Where does your data go?

Short answer: the photos are analyzed, not stored. The long answer is below and in the privacy policy.

  • Your photos aren't stored
  • Your name doesn't go to the AI
  • Delete your account from one place

What you might be wondering

Is it paid?

No, it's free. Every feature is unlocked; no subscription, no locked features, no ads.

Do I need to buy a kitchen scale?

No. Every meal in the plan already comes with its calories and macros. When you eat something outside the plan, you photograph it or scan the package barcode, then confirm the portion.

How accurate are the calorie values?

They are estimates. Photo analysis and the barcode database are not exact; you always confirm the portion yourself. Treat the numbers as a direction, not a precise measurement.

Is it on Android?

iOS only for now. The Google Play version is coming soon.
